New Delhi: An FIR has been filed against CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, Kangana Ranaut Slapped By CISF Constable following allegations that she slapped Bollywood actress and newly-elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport. The incident reportedly occurred a day before the FIR was registered, on Friday.
Kaur has been charged by the Mohali Police under sections 323 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), both of which are bailable offenses. No arrest has been made yet, according to officials, and the FIR stemmed from a complaint filed by the CISF.
In a video message, Ranaut claimed she was struck and verbally abused by a constable during a security check at Chandigarh airport, leading to a heated altercation. Farmer organizations have voiced support for the CISF woman constable in response to the incident.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable was initially detained and subsequently suspended after Kangana informed CISF officials upon her arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. She claimed that she had been slapped and abused by a woman constable at Chandigarh Airport before boarding her flight to Delhi.
In a recent video posted on her X handle, actress Kangana Ranaut shared a troubling incident where she was hit in the face and abused, expressing concerns about the rise in terrorism and violence in Punjab. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar condemned the incident, emphasizing that violence as a form of dissent is unacceptable and must be condemned.
The incident has sparked support for the suspended CISF constable involved, particularly from farmer unions like the SKM (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee. They backed the constable, Kulwinder Kaur, who claimed that Ranaut had called her “Khalistan Kaur.”

He also mentioned that her husband, part of the CISF dog squad, is posted at the same location.

Ms. Ranaut reportedly experienced an altercation with a constable on her way to Delhi for a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting scheduled for today, during which she was allegedly slapped by the officer.
The CISF has taken immediate action by suspending the constable involved, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
Expressing concern over the incident, BJP leader Jairam Thakur stated, “It is regrettable whatever transpired. Such behavior from security personnel at Chandigarh airport is deplorable. A thorough investigation will be conducted, and I have been informed that the security personnel in question has been suspended.” Meanwhile, Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh also termed the incident involving Kangana Ranaut unfortunate.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini:
